Starcraft has been building pontoons since before most of our customers were born — since 1903, to be exact — and that history shows up in how the boat is put together. Welds that do not flex, deck surfaces that do not delaminate after two seasons in the Florida sun, furniture that does not rattle loose after the first hard chop. It is the kind of quality that does not announce itself but becomes obvious after a few hours on the water.

This setup is powered for South Florida conditions — enough to cruise the Intracoastal at a comfortable 22 to 25 mph without working the engine hard, with reserve power for longer open-water crossings when the conditions call for it. The deck layout seats 10 to 12 people with dedicated seating fore and aft and a center walkthrough that actually functions instead of being blocked by furniture. We run it from Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, and Deerfield Beach depending on where the trip starts.

It is particularly popular with groups doing multi-day Intracoastal trips — Fort Lauderdale to Boca, or south toward Miami — where a stable, comfortable platform matters more than top speed. The wide beam also makes this an excellent platform for group watersports activities: if you are thinking about bringing a jet board or eFoil alongside the rental, this is the pontoon with the deck space and stability to manage it. Our piece on running jet boards from a South Florida rental boat covers why platform size matters more than most people realize. If you want more emphasis on power over capacity in the same pontoon category, the Pontoon Suzuki runs a tighter layout with a performance Suzuki engine.

Our weekly rental rates are built for the kind of extended Intracoastal trip this boat is designed for — enough time to anchor properly, explore, and still cover ground. The full South Florida fleet is listed with size and capacity details if you are comparing across the range.
